Door Standards

Horizon Automatic DoorsChanges in the laws on 1 January 1999 have led to the introduction of one of Australasia's most advanced Automatic Sliding Door Operators. Over the years Horizon have been designing, developing and testing what we believe is the most advanced Automatic sliding Door Operator in the Australasian region.

With offices throughout Australia and New Zealand we have been able to manufacture an operator that is suited to many varied applications from the heat and humidity in FNQ to the cold and wet of Invercargill in New Zealand. Our intimate knowledge of the Australasian Region is challenged by none, quite simply we are "Ahead of the Rest".

Our HD range of sliding door operators are designed to literally think for themselves, employing state-of-the-art microprocessor electronics, practical, sturdy and simplistic mechanical componentry with the aim to achieve the utmost in reliability whilst reducing maintenance and service requirements to an absolute minimum.

Our foremost design criteria was to exceed all relevant Australian and New Zealand Standards applicable to the manufacture, installation and operation of an Automatic Sliding Door Operator.

A Standards Consultant was engaged to survey the complete AS/NZS listing and to research which standards -including relevant subsections -were applicable and avoid any possible points of law. You may well be surprised at what we found was required as of 1999.

Our HD Series of Automatic Sliding Door Operators have been tested to and exceed the requirements of each of standard as applicable to Automatic Sliding Door Operators.
